Remember Dinwiddie
Down by De Witt
A Virginia County
Where district courts sit

Down by the field
Where union troops fought
In Old Petersburg
With Confederates caught

Yet now it is quiet
Without much ado
Except for the cows
Which persistently moo

Or for disputes
Over some land
Apart from that all, though
Dinwiddie’s grand
